ShareNow
For those looking to integrate their document management
capabilities with salesforce.com, ShareNow is the answer.
ShareNow gives you features such as document version
control, approval and review workflows, full text search,
and document analytics. Your sales people get access
to a rich, scalable library of highly relevant sales
and marketing documents – without ever leaving
salesforce.com.
By getting the right material to the right sales people
at the right time, revenue opportunities increase, the
productivity of the sales team increases, and the probability
of closing sales increases. The user will experience
a fully integrated interface – also called a "mashup"
or a "composite application." There are a
variety of ways ShareNow can be used with salesforce.com:
Custom Tabs: A complete view of your documents
is available from a custom tab. Salespeople are taken
to a ShareNow "Document Center" that is displayed
from within salesforce.com, as shown below. This page
displays categories and sub categories of documents
stored in ShareNow allowing a user to drill down into
categories or to perform full text searches to find
a specific sales or marketing document. Additional custom
tabs can be set up to view other areas of ShareNow such
as document approvals, forms to email multiple documents
to clients, prospects, partners, or internal teams.
Custom Links: Using ShareNow, salesforce.com
users can seamlessly access sales, marketing, and support
materials relevant to a specific Account, Opportunity,
or any other object. This can be achieved by setting
up "Custom Links" in salesforce.com that perform
searches for documents matching key Accounts or Opportunities,
or a specific keyword. The user will be presented with
a list of sales and marketing materials that are directly
related to the Account or Opportunity. Users can also
attach documents to an Account or an Opportunity (or
both). A sample screen view is shown below.
Salesforce.com Contacts: Salesforce.com users
also have access to their contacts stored in salesforce.com
so they can email documents from ShareNow directly to
their prospect and customer contacts. All emails to
contacts are automatically logged in the contact’s activity
history with links to the version of the attached documents.

ShareNow starts at $15 per user per month for read-only
users and $25 per user per month for full users and
system administrators. Pricing for users is discounted
based on volume usage (i.e., dozens, hundreds, or thousands
of users). Every user receives a free allocation of
storage and additional storage is $10 per GByte per
month. Enterprise wide licenses are available.
